School Store - Celebrating Sophia

A fine selection of unique books, art supplies, and natural quality products can be found at the Trillium Waldorf School store.  Celebrating Sophia came into being in November 2003 as an initiative of some Faculty members of the Trillium Waldorf School.  It is a store that offers a fine selection of unique books, art supplies, and natural quality products.

The primary objective of this initiative is to financially support the school's 'Accessible To All' Tuition Program while providing a vehicle for outreach to the greater community.

Why "Sophia"?

Sophia is the name of the Greek Goddess of Wisdom. (Anthroposophy, the philosophy on which our work in Waldorf Schools is based, literally means the wisdom of the human being). It was thought that having Sophia's name bless the school's store would be a wonderful way to further acknowledge this Goddess of Wisdom.  Through the presentation of our beautiful merchandise, we are celebrating Sophia.  Her wisdom permeates the way in which our products are made, and hopefully used.

Available at the school store are books on the subjects of parenting, festivals, crafts, biodynamic gardening, social development, human development, and Anthroposophy, along with an extensive array of quality art supplies, crystals, wooden toys, and various other natural quality products.
