New! Accessible To All Tuition Adjustment Program

The Trillium Waldorf School believes in the ideal that Waldorf education should be accessible to all families who wish it for its own values, regardless of their economic status. We demonstrate our commitment to this ideal through our Accessible to All Tuition (ATA) Tuition Adjustment Program, which ensures that the acceptance of a child into our school does not depend on the financial resources of the child's family.

If a family is unable to meet the tuition fee structure, they may apply for a tuition adjustment, by submitting an adjustment application and meeting with members of our Tuition Adjustment Committee. During this meeting, the group shares a "conversation" where both the school's history and financial picture, as well as the family's history and financial picture is outlined. Each stretches to meet the needs of the other to arrive at a conscious, consensual, contracted tuition contribution.

Our Tuition Adjustment Program embodies the schools commitment to enter into relationship with members of our community and become aware of the needs and gifts of each member. We view these adjusted tuitions as a contribution to the financial well-being of the school, rather than a reduction in income. The program does not lessen our strong sense of fiscal responsibility. On the contrary, it requires thorough budget preparation and ongoing review to ensure continuous progress and the achievement of goals based on the values and ideals of Waldorf education.

Once a student is accepted into the school, an enrollment package is prepared, which includes a Tuition Agreement contract, and an Accessible To All application form. After the family and school have a "conversation" and reach an adjusted tuition amount, a Tuition Agreement Amendment form is filled out, which supersedes the tuition amount stated on the original Tuition Agreement contract.

Tuition adjustment applies to the Kindergarten morning and Grade school tuition fees.
